What you need to know about your Tutoring Session
Tutoring Materials: The tutor will provide some materials for each session. We do ask that the student have textbooks, homework, worksheets, or any other class material needed, to each session.
Booking Services: Appointments must be booked 48 prior to preferred date and time.
Arrival Window: Tutors may be coming from across town at any hour of day. When reserving an appointment, we add a 30 minute buffer to allow tutors the time to reach each appointment. If back-to-back sessions are booked at the same location, tutor may use the 30 minute buffer as a break, or begin the second session immediately. If the latter is chosen, the buffer time will be added to end of second session.
** Additional Time: If your session requires additional time, please call our office and we will manually add, and charge, for an additional hour, provided that the tutor does not have an appointment immediately after.
Late Cancellations: For all tutor sessions a 50% cancellation fee will be charged if there is a cancellation within 24 hours of your appointment. We reserve the right to refuse tutoring services if we encounter anything that could cause danger to our tutors. This could include but is not limited to: mold in homes, violence in the home, car rides, etc.
Terms of use
1.Standard Cancellation Fee:
Learn After Class LLC will assess for all tutor sessions a 50% cancellation fee that will be applied for sessions cancelled within 24 hours of your appointment. Please be sure to provide an address for the tutors to meet the students. We reserve the right to charge our standard cancellation fee for all no-shows.
2. Tutoring Materials:
Learn After Class LLC provides some materials required for tutoring your student(s). It is required that your student has textbooks or source materials to cover in the sessions. Tutors will be equipped with paper, writing utensils, resources, and any other materials needed to tutor particular subjects; dry erase board, flash cards, etc
3. Tutoring Guarantee:
It is your responsibility to notify the company of any problem within this time period; a phone call, email, or satisfaction survey response will be sufficient. We will remove a tutor from your student and assign a new tutor to better suit your child, if you find that a tutor is not performing his/ her duties to your student. The students are our top priority.
4. Confirmation:
Booking a service online doesn’t guarantee you a spot for that date/time. Your booking is not confirmed until you have paid for the services, via Pay Pal or Stripe.
5. Direct Hiring of Tutors.
Learn After Class LLC invests heavily in procurement to find quality tutors. Hiring OUR current, Ex-worker(s) and/or accepting side propositions makes you liable for an employment referral fee of $1000.00 if you directly employ (legally or cash basis) anyone currently or formerly employed by us within the 2 year period prior to such employment. By using our service, you agree to notify us of any attempts to solicit or accept illegal business, otherwise; Attorney, Legal and miscellaneous expenses incurred to investigate and/or collect this fee will be added if this employment is discovered. Exchanging contact info is considered part of this breach.
Unless complying with all laws; direct, unreported or inappropriate employment practices are illegal. You acknowledge being informed that Learn After Class LLC is obligated to report illegal hiring activities. In fact, anyone may report this to the proper Government and Judicial authorities so investigation ensues. Implication, complicity or withholding knowledge of illegal activity is not only prosecutable by Learn After Class LLC (when applicable), but also by United States Federal and Local Laws.
6. Tutor safety
Our students’ and a our tutor’s safety is very important to us. That’s why we recommend meeting at a public location such as a library, coffee shops, or student’s personal homes.
Learn After Class LLC reserves the right to remove its tutors from your home should the environment become unsafe, our cancellation policy will apply.
7. Pets
We will gladly work around pets. If your pet becomes anxious or presents a safety concern, including but not limited to allergies, Learn After Class LLC reserves the right to remove its tutors from your home. If removal of our tutor is due to aggressive pets, our cancellation policy will apply.
8. Right to Refuse Service
Tutors have the choice to leave upon arrival if they feel unsafe/threatened.
